The Charles Dickens Tavern
Living in Ballarat is full of peaks and troughs. There are many great things about the place, but it can leave you scratching your head sometimes. Why is it always a quarter to five on the Norwich Plaza clock? Why do the lights on Sturt Street make you run to get across?
Having lived in Melbourne, Brisbane, Townsville, the Northern Territory and overseas, I never thought I’d end up in Ballarat. But I love it. The journey that took me there is as weird and wonderful as living in Ballarat itself!
Everyone has a story about the city of Old, Cold and Gold. What’s yours? School trip, end of season drunk-athon, maybe you live there? Maybe you got lost?
Come along and hear my stories from the ‘Rat.
