Andy Curtain

China Took My Kidney

Crowded at the Croft

After 10 years living in Shanghai, China (not to be confused with Shanghai, Illinois) Andy Curtain had his comedy career in the mainland shutdown completely. Categorically answering the question, what if Marco Polo was an entitled millennial?

Facing a ban on standup comedy, Andy decided the tyranny of the oppressive regime was a little too much and moved to the political safe haven of... Hong Kong. Total genius. His debut solo-show China Stole My Kidney traces the circuitous journey of one lazy man's fight against the least important of human rights violations.

Andy Curtain kicked off 2019 with a bang, touring Asia with Jim Gaffigan, Jim Jefferies, and working with acts including Kevin Hart, Dave Chappelle and Iliza Shlesinger. He featured in The Australian, The Age and on ABC. He stars in the online Mamahuhu series, hosts the Stuck In The Middle podcast
