Pat McCaffrie

24 Hour Political Party People

Trades Hall - Archive Room

The unbelievably true story of the madness that is Australian politics.

Pat McCaffrie (Mad as Hell) returns to the Melbourne International Comedy Festival to survey the wreckage of the 2019 federal election and cast his satirical eye over the Australian political landscape.

Pat has been described as 'The next big name in Australian political satire’ (RIP IT UP) and last year’s show was deemed “the most fundamentally worthwhile hour you will spend at this Festival” (Funny Tonne).

Pat has performed stand-up since 2013, participating in the Adelaide Fringe since 2015 and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival since 2016. He has also performed shows at Perth Fringe in 2016/17 and Melbourne Fringe in 2018.

He was hand-selected to be a part of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Comedy Zone in 2016 and has also been a part of the Comedy Festival Roadshow in 2016 and 2019.

He has been a writer for Shaun Micallef’s “Mad as Hell” for the past 3 seasons and has written and presented Channel 31’s premier political program, The Leak
